Wow, 2010 is almost here!
It really is crazy how fast this year has just seemed to fly by....It's been an interesting year! It wasn't horrible, but not the best either. But I'm not complaining because my family is alive and healthy, and to me, that makes it a good year!
The year started out not looking so great...my husband lost his job, and we decided to put our house up for sell that we had only lived in for about a year and a half. :( It was a little sad at the time because I did love that house, but everything worked out okay.
We moved back into the condo we had been renting out, since we were informed that we could no longer rent it, and rented our house out instead. Things were a little rough at the beginning of the year...and we weren't sure what we were going to do, but God provided, as He ALWAYS does. I have a roof over my head and my husband by my side, and for that I am so grateful. God is good. :)
A lot of good things happened this year, too. My husband found another job. Not making near as much as he was, but at least he has a job! I also got another job working at Maximum Fitness, a personal training studio. I am sooo thankful that God provided me the opportunity to work there. I was basically just offered the job, just like at the other gym I work for! Didn't even have to apply or anything-God just opened the door right when I needed it!
Another good thing was that my husband finished his chemotherapy treatments, after 2 years!
So I guess looking back, 2009 was a pretty good year. I think what's most important is always looking on the bright side and focusing on the good things in your life, instead of on the bad. Be grateful for the things you DO have, not the things you don't.
I can't say that 2010 will be a better year, because it may not be. We never know what our future holds. I don't know what God has in store for us. All I know is that He will be there with us every step of the way, and that no matter what happens, I will trust in Him and in His plans, no matter what. He is my strength and my hope!
As far as resolutions, I am just trying to continue the goals I have been working on. Stretching daily, eating more veggies, taking my multivitamin, and doing my bible reading every day. So far I have been doing good with all of them-except for eating more vegetables! I will keep workin on it!!
I think all of us this year should just focus on being more positive, less stressed, and just being thankful for all that we have! Don't take anyone for granted, and find joy in the simple things in life!

Thanks, Krissa! I think it will be a great year! And I hope yours is as well!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of your goals. You can do whatever you set your mind to!
God is amazing and he cares for us in all aspects of our lives, even the little things. I know in the end it's our relationship with Him that matters most so I, like you, will strive to get closer to Him this year.
ReplyDeleteI pray you DO have a wonderful year Lindsay!
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
May He make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
May He lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
