These banana bread English muffins! One of my favorite post workout snacks is an English muffin with cinnamon cream cheese and and banana slices.
And these waffles! I finally used up all my pumpkin ones and bought a box of these the other day-I had forgotten how much I love this flavor! They're SO good. Definitely will be adding them to my lunches more often.

I just finished The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult and LOVED it. Now I'm reading Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins, and I'm really enjoying it. With being cooped up in the house because of the stupid weather, having a good book to read is crucial! Have you read any good books lately?

My poor baby having to have knee surgery! We noticed him limping and took him to the vet for xrays, and they think he tore his ACL. :/ Has anyone went through this surgery with their dog? I just want him to be better and not in pain! They did give him some anti-inflammatory and glucosamine, so he is doing much better now.

The stupid snow would just disappear. It was pretty for the first few days, but I'm over it. The beach is calling my name!!! Sand and sun and palm trees and waves crashing....sigh. And guess what's in the forecast for tomorrow? You guessed it-MORE SNOW! :/ At least February is over, which means we are one month closer to summer!

Getting to see Celeste the other day! I hadn't seen her since Christmas, so I met up with my sister at my mom's house. She is getting so big, and is still THE cutest thing ever! She can say a bunch of words now and has the funniest little personality. She makes me laugh!

Hey Lindsay, my husband who is a vet, says for you to make sure you have a TPLO on your dog. Also, have it done by a surgeon. That's what he does, so that's his bias. We are not near you or else I would send you to him :). Hope all goes well! I enjoy your posts!
ReplyDeleteYes, we have a consult Monday at the animal hospital, and we have read about the TPLO surgery. Thanks so much!
DeleteI've been reading your blog for years and love it. It is very motivating for me and you convinced me to start lifting heavier. I also love the book recommendations. I just finished reading The Twentieth Wife by Indu Sundaresan and Mean Streak by Sandra Brown.... both were great!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks. And thanks for commenting! I'm so glad you're starting to lift heavy! :) Ooh, I will definitely look those up! Thank you!
DeleteLindsay, our 80-pound dog tore her CCL in 2011, and we decided to go the conservative management route (no surgery) because the healing time and recovery procedure is just the same and we didn't want the risks of the surgery. It was a long year with many steps forward and back, but she has been doing awesome since 2012! I highly recommend researching your options and if you have the time and ability to rehab him yourself, definitely consider it since you'd have to do it anyway after the surgery.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'll take that into consideration!
