Just thought I'd share what I do as far as supplementation, for those who may be interested!
I've never been big on supplements. It was actually only a few years ago that I even started adding whey protein to my diet, which I do think really helped in terms of bulding muscle because I wasn't getting near enough protein back then. But besides whey protein, I've never been one of those people who take a TON of supplements, and I have never taken any type of fat burner or anything of that sort.
Here's what supplements I currently use:
-Whey protein
-Creatine
-Fish oil
-Vitamin D
-Multi-vitamin
I just bought ZMA recently, but haven't began using it. I know a lot of bodybuilders/figure competitors have cabinets FULL of supplements that they take....And I've often wondered if I'm at the point now where taking some supplements would be beneficial for me as far as building muscle, or if it really wouldn't make that much of a difference. The way I see it, I'm not going to spend money on something that I don't know for sure is really going to work.
What do you guys think about supplements? Are there any that you think are necessary or that you have gotten good results from?

hi lindsay, sorry i cant comment - i keep asking the same questions. will be keeping a watch on yr answers !!!
ReplyDeleteI take exactly the same supps as you. I tried taking zinc and magnesium as well for a while, but didn't notice a difference whatsoever. Most of the stuff out there seems like a waste of money!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteHow do you feel your creatine has helped you? And how long have you been on it? It is one I have tossed around a couple of years to take and have finally decided to start.
ReplyDeleteCrystal
I feel like creatine helps me to push harder and therefore get stronger, but who knows, it could be all in my head! I've been taking it for about a year now.
DeleteI take extra B12 & iron because I'm low in that, and
ReplyDeleteco-enzyme Q-10.
