Boredom

Soo...right now I'm just bored. I had one client to train this morning at 7, and now I really have nothing to do for the rest of the day. I wish it wasn't raining so I could lay out! I need some sun!!!!!!! I had a good back workout today-I love training back! I only got 3 sets of 6 pullups, though. :( So yesterday I put my sister through a "boot camp" workout...it was hilarious because it was really hard for her, and I was giving her the easy version! But she hasn't worked out in a long time. She's one of those people who is never consistent with anything! Anyway, I guess I might go to the mall to look for some tennis shoes and workout clothes. I need to take Asher for a walk, do my bible reading, and then I guess I could clean the house a little...but I may take a short nap first!

Goals

I'm the type of person who likes to set goals for myself. Most of those goals have to do with pushing myself physically in some way. I LOVE to challenge myself and push myself to get stronger...guess that's why I love lifting so much! I've had the goal of doing 10 pullups for a while now...probably for about a year and a half...and I'm almost there! I started out only being able to do sets of 2 or 3...then I was able to do 5 consistently...then I started doing sets of 6....then the other day I had my husband tape me doing my first set of pullups on back day, and I got 8 reps! Yay! That's the most I've gotten so far and I'm pretty proud! Only 2 more to go! Then next on the list is 1 arm pushups and handstand pushups!

No Excuses

There is no excuse for not exercising- NO excuse ! It is the most important thing you can do for yourself and your health, and it needs to be a priority, not something you do every now and then when you can find “time.” I don’t care how many jobs you work or how many kids you have, you CAN make time to exercise. I am tired of people telling me they can’t lose weight or that they have no time to exercise! Stop making excuses! You CAN lose weight if you really have the desire and put in the hard work to do it. The main reasons people don’t lose weight are because they aren’t consistent , they aren’t working hard enough , and they aren’t eating healthy . You don’t need to spend hours and hours at the gym to get a good workout. You can get a great workout at home without any equipment at all. You just have to make the time to do it. Get up a little earlier in the morning and do a 20 minute workout of squats, lunges, pushups, jumping jacks and crunches. While you’re watching TV in the even

Sunday with my Lover

Yesterday was a beautiful day! It was in the 60s and sunny(too cold for me, but still nice). My husband and I went to church, then went to the gym and did some cardio (sprints and jump rope-fun!), and then went to the waterfront to enjoy the beautiful day by the water!

Matt's checkup/MRI

Yesterday I went with Matt to Bloomington for his 6 month MRI. It's been 2 years since his brain tumor was removed, and he has to have an MRI every six months to make sure there is no regrowth or anything. The doctor said everything looked great! Yay! :) I thank God everyday for having Matt here with me, because I know things could have turned out a lot worse! Our life is in His hands. Matt is doing great, and has really had NO side effects at all from his tumor or having 1/4 of his brain removed! I am so thankful. God is good.

Attitude

“A strong positive mental attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug.” ~Patricia Neal I love and HATE leg day at the same time! I love it because I love to see how much I can lift...but I hate the pain! Actually, I can't say that-I love the pain, too! There is nothing harder than doing heavy squats-nothing! That's why not many people in the gym do them! Today I did my last two sets of squats with 175 lbs! My husband was spotting me a little, but I got 6 reps! 8 more lbs and I'll be squatting 1.5 times my body weight! Today I did 320 on my last set of leg press(narrow stance) and got 15 reps! I wasn't going for that many, but I made myself push through the pain. So now I know I can do a lot more weight on the leg press than I've been doing! I sure hope my legs will grow!!!!!! I have the skinniest legs, as you can see in this pic. If I gain weight it all goes to my stomach, so putting on weight is not going to make my legs bigger. Tried it. I'm just s
