Friday Faves-Songs I'm Loving

Obsessed with these songs right now. Hope ya'll have a Happy Easter!

Hello! I thought I would share what's been going on with us lately.
We celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago. It's crazy sometimes to think I've been with someone for 12 years! That's a long time! I'm so blessed and fortunate to have Matt in my life. He has brought my life SO much happiness. I'm so thankful for the marriage that we have and the love of Christ that we share.
Things are hard right now, yes, but I believe God has prepared me and put me here for just this moment in time, and I'm thankful that I can be here to help Matt through this challenging time. I wouldn't trade it for anything. He's the most amazing man, and it just breaks my heart to watch him suffer.
We've been getting Matt out and about a bit more lately. We went out for pizza at Butchertown Pizza Hall last weekend and also went to church for the first time in months. I've really missed it, even though we watch the sermons online or on TV weekly.…

Workout & WIAW

Thought I'd take a break from the serious posts and do a little "What I Ate and Workout Wednesday"post. I'm still *trying* to eat more calories, although I don't think I did well during our 2 week stay at the hospital. It was hard getting all my meals in there, but I did my best to make sure not to undereat. The good thing is I haven't lost any weight. My workouts have been very sporadic, but I've still been able to get at least 2 heavy lifting leg days in every week.

Because I work out later in the day now and don't  have the time to get in 6 meals, I've dropped my meals down to 5 but increased each meal to make sure to still get the same amount of calories. It's working for me so far.
Here was yesterday:

Meal 1:
1 banana
3/4 cup oats
Spoonful of pb
1 heaping scoop protein powder
Coffee with cream

Meal 2:
Omelette: 2 eggs, 2 whites, 2 slices turkey bacon, 1 slice velveeta cheese
~8ish oz (I don't measure anymore) roasted potatoes with ketc…

From Wife To Caretaker

After my husband's brain surgery in June 2017, he was doing great for the few months post surgery. He was working out, driving, walking Asher, and teaching his wrestling class up until November, even while doing chemotherapy.

In December he came down with the flu, and that's when things took a turn for the worse. He was admitted to the hospital for 5 days, and then it took him weeks to get over the flu. Since then, he is no longer able to walk and needs 24/7 care. He is always tired, so tired. The doctors think the reason for this is a combination of the parkinsonism progressing, as well as the brain tumor.

For the past few weeks, he has been having a physical therapist come to the house, but they felt limited in what they could do, so they suggested admitting him Frazier Rehab for inpatient therapy. He stayed there for two weeks and was just discharged Tuesday. Everyone was great there, but I didn't see as much progress as I had hoped for. At this point, he is most likely…
